Spring Hora [Hora Primăverii] gained popularity as the soundtrack for the titles of the folklore melodrama Red Meadows (Poienile roșii) - the 1966 film directed by Emil Loteanu, with music by Isidor Burdin and Sergey Lunkevich.

This fantasy by Alexander Timofeev combines Burdin’s folk-inspired melody with a newly composed middle (development) section, expanding the form and character of the original song with additional musical material shaped for the wind ensemble forces.
